Memorial Day

We went to the river with Grammy & Ernie for Memorial Day weekend.
Earning his keep.
A big thanks to Ernie for spending all afternoon setting up a swing for Holden.

I wish I could fit in it - swinging in the shade with a great view, doesn't get much better than that. Well, maybe if it had a cupholder for a margarita. Or a juice box in Holden's case.Another perfect sunset on the Potomac.
The family

Back home, a typical summer day at our house.

My cute boyRaven trying to escape Holden in the playhouse. Nice try, Raven but there's no escaping him.
Daddy's new Keurig came with a special edition Holden accessory.

We found another great park. This one has tons of toddler toys just laying around begging to be used.Cruising around in toddler wonderland.Reilly and Holden post picnic at the park.

Cookout at friend Sydney's house.First moonbounce experience. Not a fan, but I can't blame him because it was 95 degrees and the floor of the moonbounce was on fire in the sun.

Grandpa Stu

We went to Seneca Falls to celebrate the life of Grandpa Stu who passed away on May 20. The service had standing room only and was a beautiful tribute to his life. He touched many lives and will be missed by all.

Taking a quick nap with Grammy before the service.

Checking out Rob's original Big Wheel at Grandma's house.

The Cayuga Lake Creamery - a regular stop of the way home. The BEST ice cream and now a new train, just when we thought it couldn't get any better.

We hosted a playdate with Riley, Jack, and birthday girl Madeleine a week earlier. The cupcakes disappeared quickly.Water table fun for all, except Jack who is making a run for it.

Best buddies waiting for Daddy to come home - the highlight of both their days.

"Helping"Fox and deer in our backyard. The deer I'm okay with, the fox...not so much.

Peanut Problems

Holden vs. the Peanut

This is how he looked when he woke up from his nap after having PB&J for lunch. By the time we got to Urgent Care, he had hives all over his torso, too. Testing by the Allergist confirmed his peanut allergy but he tested negative for almond, walnut, pecan, and cashew. He'll get tested again in 2 years. Until then, an epipen goes everywhere he does just in case.
Chowing down on McDonalds. He can still have fast food even if cooked in peanut oil - whew, he won't have to give up his Happy Meal date with Grammy.

A toddler's idea of putting away the laundry.

In other news, Holden is now officially enrolled in Mother's Day Out at our church (a peanut-free school) starting in September. He'll be in the 2 year old class and go on Tuesdays from 9:30-1pm. Everyone says my tears will dry up as soon as I pull out of the parking lot and realize I have 3.5 hours completely to myself. I'm excited - it'll be good for both of us!

A Visit from Libby

Grandma M, Aunt Karen and cousin Libby came for a visit. I got very few pictures of the Libby and Holden together since their schedules were completely opposite - when Libby was up, Holden was asleep and as soon as Holden got up, Libby went down for a nap. We did manage to get some good bathtime blackmail pics for the future...Rub-a dub, 2 cousins in a tub
Happy Libby! She seemed to like VA so we're hoping for more visits in the future.

That little bundle in my arms is 4 week old baby Steven, our friends Dave & Christina's new son. Holden was pretty interested in him despite his appearance in this picture.

Playing "Where's Holden?"

Water table fun

The swing is back! Holden looks at it then looks at me and says "sit". It's safe to say he loves it, as do all of his friends.

Inspecting the neighbor's yard with Mike the Mower.
Water break at Clemjontri Park, which is the Disney World equivalent of playgrounds. We were there for a few hours and didn't even get to see the whole thing.

Holden & Jack in their matching shorts. We had a fun visit with him and big sis Lily at their house in MD.

Holden likes the sidewalk chalk the Easter Bunny brought him. And artist in the making...Holden and (another) Jack at our Stroller Fit class cook out. Jack has been a buddy since our days at My Gym.Raven the racetrack. Holden loves playing with cars, trucks, and trains of all kinds.
Lounging on the lion pillow.

His new rainy day frog boots. Too bad he kicks them off as soon as I put them on.Zzzzz

Easter with the Girls

We had a great Easter and a fun week with Molly & Lindsey during their spring break visit.Posing in front of the fire truck at the Easter Egg Hunt with baskets ready to be filled.

Post Hunt - no pictures of the actual event due to the sheer chaos.

Watching the puppet show with GrammyEgg sorting at homeLeaving church on Easter morning

Checking out the ducks at the farm

Tractor ride around the farmThe 3 amigos

"See it?" - what Holden is saying as an airplane flies by.
